More Detail

The greatest innovation yet from the makers of Bebetel!

Monitor connects via a landline telephone connection OR via Bluetooth connection to a mobile phone where your child is sleeping. Like Bébétel Mobile, this is the perfect monitoring solution when camping or staying in an apartment or villa where a telephone landline is not available and with no need to connect mobile phone via a cable. Also allows you to stay in control of call costs rather than going through a hotel switchboard.

Bébétel Bluetooth will dial out to any programmed number (landline or mobile phone).
Unlimited range.
Zero intereference.

Supplied with landline telephone connection cable (cord length 8m) AC adapter (cord length 3m), 9v battery, full instruction manual, handy guide.
2 Year Manufacturer's Warranty.

A little bit of info about mobile phone compatibility.

It is worth noting that many of the new mobiles which use USB connection only are not compatible with Bebetel Mobile. This is because a USB connection can only be initiated by a master PC (not contained within a Bebetel Mobile). Therefore, regrettably, there is no way to connect a USB-type mobile to Bebetel Mobile.

However, inside Bebetel Mobile is a controller with a serial interface which can communicate with another serial device (i.e. the mobile phones listed).

If you find your current mobile is not listed, we would like to suggest that you 'dig out an older model' and swap over your SIM card for use with Bebetel Mobile. Ask around your friends and family or you may be able to purchase an inexpensive compatible phone online (perhaps a pay-as-you-go), possibly through EBay.

Your Questions

Is the unit simple to programme?

Just switch to "PROGRAMME" on the unit and key in your chosen "alarm" telephone number and then SWITCH TO OFF & THEN STRAIGHT TO ON. The unit is now ready to test.

What if I have "no service" for my mobile?

Simply programme in a land line telephone number instead.

Is it possible to monitor two rooms at the same time?

Bébétel is very sensitive so if you set it to HIGH you can supervise two rooms next to each other. Place the unit between the two rooms, leaving the doors open. Always test the units however with some noise activity.

How do I programme the Bébétel Extra unit in a hotel?

You will first need to get an external line (find out from the hotel what this is – though usually 0 or 9) and then programme your mobile or other alarm number.

How do I programme my mobile number into the Bébétel when using abroad?

When abroad and using a UK mobile you must dial the UK international code, followed by your mobile number minus the first 0.
e.g. 00 44 (0)2591 121212

Will I run up a large hotel telephone bill using Bébétel Extra?

No. The telephone line is not permanently open. Only once the device is activated to connect to your alarm number will a charge start to be incurred. In most instances, this connection need only be seconds long.

Which mobile phones are compatible with Bébétel Mobile?

For a comprehensive and constantly updated list, check with www.bebetel.com/mobiles or contact your supplier.

Are other mobile phones compatible with Bébétel Mobile which are not listed?

No. Please note that even it appears that the connection cable will fit into your mobile phone, if it is not listed as compatible, it will not work with Bebetel Mobile.

Will an alarm call from Bébétel Mobile only go out to a compatible mobile phone?

No, you can use ANY mobile phone or landline. Only the mobile phone connected to the unit must be compatible.

My Nokia mobile is listed as compatible with Bébétel Mobile but is not working. What can I do?

Connect the mobile connection cable to the Nokia. There must be a display on the Nokia that the data cable is connected. If not, remove cable and try again and/or clean the Nokia jack (sometimes there is dirt to remove).
